Intel Atom D425, N455 and D525 Processor Options

The PCISA-PV family is available with three onboard Intel Atom processors. The D425 provides single-core 1.80GHz operation, the N455 provides single-core 1.66GHz operation, and the D525 provides dual-core 1.80GHz processing.

Processor selection is determined by the board's exact ordering number. These are separate hardware configurations rather than interchangeable socketed CPU options.

DDR3 SO-DIMM Memory

One 204-pin DDR3-800 SO-DIMM socket supports up to 4GB memory on the D425 and D525 configurations or up to 2GB on the N455 configuration.

VGA and LVDS Dual Display Support

The integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics engine provides analog VGA and 18-bit single-channel LVDS display interfaces. The LVDS interface supports compatible industrial LCD panels with resolutions up to 1366 x 768.

Dual Gigabit Ethernet

Two Realtek RTL8111E Gigabit Ethernet controllers provide 10/100/1000Mbps network connectivity. LAN1 supports ASF 2.0 management functionality.

Four Serial Communication Ports

The board provides three RS-232 interfaces and one configurable RS-232/422/485 interface with automatic flow control support for compatible industrial communication equipment.

SATA, IDE and CompactFlash Storage

Three SATA 3Gb/s interfaces, one IDE interface and a CompactFlash Type II socket provide flexible storage options for industrial operating systems and legacy software environments.

PCI and ISA Expansion

The PCISA interface supports compatible passive backplanes with PCI and ISA expansion. ISA bus connectivity is implemented through an ITE IT8888G PCI-to-ISA bridge, supporting the continued use of compatible legacy industrial expansion cards.

Industrial I/O and System Management

Additional features include six USB 2.0 ports, parallel and floppy interfaces, keyboard/mouse connectivity, infrared, eight digital I/O signals, a programmable watchdog timer and UEFI BIOS.
