The new ETX-VE-series of the ETX component SBC module is based on the VIA Eden Platform, using the Twister-TTM chipset and ESP3000, ESP4000 and VIA-C3 800 MHz processors. The processors and chipsets are optimized for ultra-low power consumption enabling high- performance boards with passive cooling solutions. Improoved power management is achieved using both ACPI and APM 1.2 allowing for fanless-cooling and extending battery life. With the VIA VT8606/ VT82C686A as the core chip set, the ETX-VE-series provides both S3 Savage 4 graphics and VIA enhanced audio. In addition to standard ETX features, the ETX-VE supports four USB ports, up to 512 MByte SDRAM, 10/ 100Base-T Ethernet, keyboard/ mouse controllers, real-time clock, and watchdog timer.
